National Community of Practice making an impact #systemschange #holidays #culturalimpact
The National CoP team just had our monthly call with Connecticut who shared a fun story that shows that the National Community of Practice is making an impact on staff in the state disability service system.
For the department holiday party, each division is asked to create a center piece that is is voted on by all their colleagues. During the party, several people came up to Robin and told her how cool her Community of Practice display was; only Robin didn’t make that center piece.
To Robin’s surprise, she found out it was staff from the legal division that had used words from the vision and values of the National Community of Practice for their display. Kudos to Robin and the CT CoP team!
Cultural change is hard to evaluate and capture , but this is a great example of the cultural impact that Robin and her Community of Practice team are making on staff throughout the entire department.
